When planning your next road trip that’s going to include your dog, be sure to choose a route that has dog friendly restaurants along the way.  There are many places to eat across the United States that will not only let your dog come in, but will have food for him too!

People travel with their dogs for a variety of reasons; some are considered a part of the family, some are moving from one home to another, some may even be traveling to visit their dog friends.  No matter what the reason, if the trip is long enough to have to stop to eat, why not visit a restaurant that is dog friendly.

The Dog Bar

The Dog Bar in Charlotte, NC is THE place to bring Fido in the Queen City.  Located in the NoDa Arts District, the bar serves beer, wine and liquor and allows dogs of all shapes and sizes both indoors and out.  All dogs are welcome, as long as they are well-behaved and are up to date on all of their vaccinations.  There is a membership fee of $10.00 for each dog, which you can pick up on your first visit. Just be sure to have Fido’s vaccination records with you.

There is a whole section of the restaurant dedicated to dogs and dog lovers, the outside patio!  The outside patio is open aired but covered by a roof and has about 20 picnic tables for your dog to sit.

The Crab Shack’s motto is “Where The Elite Eat In Their Bare Feet!”  You and your dog will be welcome to sit on the spacious deck overlooking the water, but not in the screened-in dining area.
