Australian Shepherd Receives Official Commendation

New York, NY – New Hampshire Governor John Lynch presented an Official Commendation to AKC/Eukanuba National Champion and New Hampshire’s Top Dog, Australian Shepherd Ch. Propwash Reckon. Owners Leslie Frank and Judy Harrington were on-hand for the ceremony as a follow-up to the Dec 4-5 win in Long Beach, CA at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.

After a grueling competition with 2,500 dogs in 49 states and 40 countries, “Reckon” won with an impressive showing for a top notch dog of his breed. The network television premiere of the competition will air this Sunday, January 23rd at 2 p.m. EST on ABC.

Owner and breeder Leslie Frank also received recognition for her decades of dedication to breeding successful top winners and companion dogs. She has previously been recognized as an AKC Breeder of Merit, as well as having won the 2010 AKC Breeder of the Year Herding Group award.

“We are very pleased that the State of New Hampshire recognized such a deserving AKC breeder, Leslie Frank. Her lifelong passion of carefully breeding happy, healthy and capable puppies echoes AKC’s mission of promoting responsible breeding and dog ownership,” said AKC Spokesperson Lisa Peterson at the New Hampshire press conference. “Our congratulations go to Reckon as well for a superb performance.”
